| The instant I saw the pearls in my kit I knew I wanted to use them directly on a photo! We've nicknamed my daughter princepessa and I felt like this layout fit the name. When I'm working I absolutely hate it if things are too perfect. I like things to have a more natural feel, I like seeing the creative process unfold on my projects and I feel like if I stop to fuss over everything being perfect, I loose that inspiration. You'll notice that I've cut the circles in the top left corner in varying sizes, trying hard to make sure they are imperfect. I love stacking these up and seeing how they all come together. | |

| This 12x12 was pieced together with ephemera. Some of the cards fold out to reveal a photo underneath. I even created a pocket with 2 different pieces of ephemera. I love the versatility of the packs of ephemera... so many designs and sizes to choose from and it really packs a punch when you group several pieces together... | |

I was inspired by all of the polka-dots in this kit and black & white stripes are a serious weakness of mine. I love the combination of dots and stripes so I had to put these two papers together somehow. The playful layout worked perfectly with the quirky personality captured in these photos of my middle child, Ozzie. |

I loved the clear pillow box that the prima flowers came in and thought it would be fun to create a little display that reflected what a great time I had being a bad girl! I created a "stand" for the pillow-box to sit upright in with one of the flowers. Most of this project was created using paper bits and cutting up the packaging and bad girls postcard that came in my kit. |

love gaffers tape! I've used it here to create a hinge for the front triangle to fold out, revealing pockets perfect for stuffing with photos and ephemera. I tend to work with albums more than layouts, so I guess you could say this is an 8x8 layout inspired by my album work??? |
