I love hanging out with my Sister and love this photograph of us together. Like all siblings we have our ups and downs but always know that no matter what we will always be there for one another. I created the circular frames by hemstitching micro beads into place. The butterfly was attached to the page using 3d foam pads to give a little pop.
Additional supplies used - beads, thread,3d foam pads and Dymo tape.

I wanted to test myself using this months kit! I set myself a challenge to create a boy page using photographs of my son, J, which were taken whilst on our recent trip to L.A. A template was used to create the star page accents which were cut from the papers, edged with a black pen before being popped on the page using 3d foam tape. I used the proverb "All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy" for the journaling - which sums up J's life perfectly!
Additional supplies used - 3d foam pads, black pen and Dymo tape.

This photograph was taken whilst walking on the beach with two of my friends. They just stopped and gazed out to sea whilst taking in the simple pleasures of life. By using black cardstock to mount the handcut birds I was able to give my "homemade"page accents more definition. I also used black cardstock as a base for the butterfly rubon.
Additional supplies used - 3d foam pads and a black pen.

I handstiched using floss, before adding brads to the circular frame on this page which uses a photograph of my best friend and her son sharing a tender moment. Her son loves to share kisses to make people happy and I think the quote used matches the sentiment of the photograph perfectly.
Additional supplies used - brads, floss, buttons, Hambly transparency and bird from previous Bad Girls Kit.

My closest friend is getting married later on this year and I was extremely honoured when she asked me to go with her to help choose her wedding gown.
I decided I would document the countdown to her wedding by creating a layout each month until her big day - this is page one and celebrates the day we found "The Dress". Some of the embellishments I have used were received from a recent Bad Girls Junque Swap - thanks to the members of the message board for helping me create a page that I know my friend will treasure dearly for years to come.

My children are.. well.. of the simple pleasures sort. Here they're rejoicing over the wonderful weather and the grassy slope - doing what (most) children love to do - getting even more dirtier. I rubbed the rubons on transparencies and cut them out, mounting them on 3d foam. The huge brad got embellished by a rubon aswell. The letters were colored with the American Crafts glitter marker - such a perfect color which matched my daughters jacket! Items not in the kit: Rubons and Glitter Marker (both from the Gardenia addon)

Another vintage photo - me cirka 1980 w/my parents :) This Melissa Frances paper just yelled for vintageyish useage and I totally adore the Fancy Pants paper these flowers are cut from. I glued the dresspattern to the paper with white gesso, making the background-paper more dreamy while subduing the kraft color of the pattern. The flowers were cut out and mounted on 3dfoam and the tags were sprayed with Glimmer Mist (Walnut Gold) and heavily inked. Rubons accentated the tags perfectly.

Items not in the kit: Rubons (Gardenia addon), dress pattern and tags/rope, pearl-pin (from an old kit)

I love the song Chasing Pavements and certain passages of the lyrics really do speak to me. I guess it's the little insecure girl in me. I jumped on the chance to princessify/angelify myself thanks to the funny Fancy Pants diecuts even though it really doesn't have anything to do with the theme (don't laugh, I'm allowed to once in my life! :p)

Items not in the kit: Bling Font used: Vintage Typewriter

I made a little celtic box and decorated it - soo perfect for the little cute gift to someone special. Someone in my family just got a little boy, and this is the little extra gift (socks) we're sending besides the maingift. I cut out one of the little tags/tickets from the MF tagbook, rolled the notepaper, wrapped a ribbon around and secured them all with a pin.

Items not in the kit: Stamp (Anna Griffin - love it when I get the chance to use this stamp!), pearl-pin (old kit), Love, Elsie ribbon (April Kit)

Cari is on vacation this month.

Quote: If I had a rose for every time I thought of you, I would walk through a garden forever.
I cut the butterfly from the American Crafts paper and adhered only the body of the butterfly to the layout. I inserted a small chipboard under each wing to make it look as if the butterfly is in flight.
Materials not in the kit: fabric used for photo mat, transparency quote

This layout is about how my daughter showed us her choice in attending a pre-school. I inked the white chipboard letters with yellow ink to bring out the title.
Materials not in the kit: Love Elsie Chipboard button

I loved the effect of the flower rub-ons. I kept this layout simple to draw the eye to the picture and the journaling written below the thin border. The letters were colored with the American Crafts Glitter marker.
Materials not in the kit: Love Elsie stickers

I had fun creating this layout about the sweet and simple life of a three year old. Materials not in the kit: Love Elsie ribbon, Prima paper (from previous BG kits), Junkitz Chipboard Letter tiles.

I made a gift container with a tin can bought from a street market. I wrapped the lower part of the tin and the handle with the Prima paper. Materials not in the kit: Prima small flowers.

Once in awhile, I like to mix it up a bit and do layouts with a bit more layering. Right now, I'm going through a phase of photos and products sticking out of my pages. You'll see a lot of that from me in this month's kit.
For this layout, I used a bit of products from past months' kits that includes, the prima bling and the American Crafts alphabets.
Other products include: Heidi Swapp bloom, Hambly transparency, Jenni Bowlin Chipboard.

This is my second circular layout ever! I'm not a circle person myself and prefer working with straight lines, but sometimes it's good to do things out of the box. This month's challenge is to incorporate quotes to our layouts and I love quotes so much I did 2 layouts with quotes. I took quotes from a book called "Life's Big Little Moments".
Quote said: Sisters show each other how to enjoy every moment.
Sisters teach each other about togetherness.

Product not in kit: Basic Grey rub ons.

The white background is not part of the layout.
I hardly scrap photos of my youngest when she was a newborn. This is one of a handful. I thought this month's kit is perfect for baby's photos as it is soft in color.
I also used the Bam Pop tag from last month's kit and the Prima bling from a few month's back.
Product not in kit: My Mind's Eye photo transparency. EK success tiny alphas.

\Again, the white background is not part of the layout.
Here's a tip. If you are like me, who can't see straight and have problems making everything look straight on a layout, forget about doing the straight thing - slant everything or just crooked it up!
For this month's challenge, it's all about quotes. Here's one of my favourites from the book, "Life's Big little Moments."
Quote read: Big sister shows lil' sis how to make up silly games!

Product not in kit: 7gypsies "love" clip.

If your husband is like mine, who tends to forget dates, well, gently remind him by giving him a reminder card. Here's one I did for him to put in his office. And yes, that's my birthday!

For the challenge I chose a quote by Plato, "he has the soul of a philosopher. I thought it was very fitting with the look of Albert's eyes in the photo. I used the vintage sheet music as the background. Journaling sheet is from last month's add on. I also used a wood scroll, Fancy Pants transparency, flowers, rhinestones, and an Anna Griffin photo corner.

This was one of my favorite sheets of paper in this month's kit. I used stickles to glitter the title letters. I also added vintage book paper, Melissa Francis vintage ribbon, flowers, a rub on from last month's kit, and a Fancy Pants chipboard flourish.

This is a photo of my Grandmother on a motorcycle which completely shocked me the first time I saw it. I knew someday, somehow I would use this photo. This kit was perfect for it. Other supplies used were Prima flowers, crystal flower brad, and Making Memories.

I scanned the music paper and printed it on a transparency. I also traced the Fancy Pants wings on music paper and placed them coming out from the frame.

I used the Melissa Francis frame to make an ornament for my pink feather tree. It was very simple. I just adhered a photo and ribbon to the back and stuck in a tag and….voila, a very chic ornament.

I added some pink paint to the dresses of the pattern girls and inked pink onto the photo. I  sewed the rub-ons onto the page to give a bit dimension and texture, tore some of the petals from the flowers to add interest, since in the photo, Willow is picking leaves from the ground. The torn flower petals are symbolic of that.

I used the writing on the paper to jump start my journaling on the layout. I used the card from the add-on kit and cut it into a tag, added a piece of the ribbon them frayed it to give more whimsical look. The frame is from BAM pop.

This is an index card layout. I cut flowers from pattern paper. The wings on the girls are from the butterfly rub-ons. The title at the bottom is cut from a piece of pattern paper. I cut the girls' arms off and re-positioned to look as though they are holding the frame.

The photos are transfers onto the vintage sheet music. I used the green glitter pen from the add-on kit to colour the white letters. the swirl on the right side of the layout is a hambly transfer that i melted, leaving a burnt impression on the paper.

My first layout is for my challenge... I found this beautiful quote by Erma Bombeck and I just fell in love with it.
The pictures of my boys in this layout just make me happy and really captured a glimpse of the bond that they share.

When I first saw the "Morning Song" papers I had to hold my breath! The pink and red is so gorgeous and just went perfect with my title!

I wanted this layout to be soft and feminine. The Melissa Frances papers were perfect for what I was trying to achieve. I love this picture of my daughter. I know that there are no words but sometimes the picture is just enough for me.

The title is what I hope my kids never forget to do! I am so blessed to have three beautiful children and that they almost always get along (knock on wood)!
I loved this picture that I took while vacationing last month at the beach and these beautiful papers made it so easy to achieve the look I was going for.

I had so much fun making this little doll house. I loved the Melissa Frances stickers and they really just made this house. As soon as I saw the Jenni Bowlin calendar cards I instantly knew that I wanted to make myself a sweet little home of my own!

I've been waiting to scrap my one and only rose that I've ever grown without killing, and when I saw this paper, I knew it's what I've been waiting for! I altered the photo to look a bit more like a painting, and tore out the center of the background paper to show more paper underneath. I added a bit of bling from last months kit, and I also used a piece of clear acetate to make the overlay for the butterfly. (not in kit)

I simply love these little dolls, they bring back so many happy memories!  This layout is really special to me, my Grandma spent so much time with me when I was little and I miss her so much. I added a tissue flower to the kit flowers, made from an actual dress pattern that my Grandma helped me sew.

For my Birthday this year hubby and the kids surprised me with a room full of hot pink and black balloons with skullies. ....... so when I saw this gorgeous little frame in the kit, I just had to frame one of my funky balloons, of course! I simply adore the red and pink papers in this kit, they are so yummy! I sanded the edges of all the photos for more of a grungey look.....and why does my cake say 25? .....simple..... I've got my family trained REALLY good! ;)

I am so in love with the colors in this kit, the combinations you can come up with are endless. The look on my girls face says it all...."NOT another photo shoot"! She must simply love me to be so patient with me, but I know we'll always remember the many times we spent together with my camera. I added little daubs of black paint to the kit letters with the end of a paint brush to match the polka dot brad. (lace under flower not in kit)

I altered this mini canvas bag by hand stitching on some ric rac, and a calendar sheet from the kit. It's a gift for my sister. I also punched out the center of the heart with a diamond shape and adhered it over her birthdate. Then I filled the bag with goodies! The crooked hand stitches give it a more whimsical look.
